Los Angeles County has the largest home visiting network in the nation. Every third Friday in April, we celebrate that! The L.A. County Board of Supervisors issues a proclamation to recognize our heroic home visitors — and to spotlight the life-changing results for families who participate in these free programs.

It’s an opportunity to get the word out so more families can benefit from these free services. We also aim to show policymakers and grantmakers that investments in these programs yield enormous and long-lasting returns. And, of course, Home Visiting Day is a chance to recognize and applaud the dedication of trained home visitors for the critical support they provide every day.
