This webinar took place on June 5, 2026. Hosted by LA Best Babies Network and the Los Angeles County Perinatal & Early Childhood Home Visiting Consortium, this virtual webinar provided participants with an overview of the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program and recent updates to WIC food packages implemented in California in April 2026.

Representatives from the PHFE WIC Outreach Team shared information about WIC eligibility requirements, the enrollment process for families and the nutritional supports available through the program. The session also highlighted recent changes to WIC food packages and discussed how these updates aim to better meet the nutritional needs of pregnant individuals, infants and young children.

Participants learned how home visitors, healthcare providers and other family-serving professionals can support families in accessing WIC services, navigate the application process and utilize the California WIC Card and mobile app. The webinar also provided practical tools and resources to help professionals connect eligible families with nutrition assistance and ongoing support available through WIC programs across Los Angeles County.
